Welcome to Hadleigh and Thundersley Cricket Club
Founded in 1946, we pride ourselves on our competitive standard of cricket and thriving social scene. If you are looking for a cricket club in Essex near Hadleigh, Thundersley, Benfleet, Leigh-on-Sea or Southend then we could be the club for you!
Our Saturday 1s play in the Hamro Foundation Essex League's Premier Division – the best in Essex. Our club’s youth teams are also successful in local leagues. We recognise that youth development is very important, from boys and girls aged 5 to 8 joining our All Stars programme, to introducing youth players to open age cricket. Our cricket club will always welcome new players of all ages and ability. We are excited to be growing participation from women and girls through our women's cricket sessions and Dynamos programme for 8 to 11 year old girls.
While we are primarily a cricket club, we also have a vibrant social scene, taking advantage of our outstanding pavilion and bar facilities. Social members can enjoy evenings across the year with food and drink, live music, quizzes and watching international sporting events at our bar. We're a family friendly club and members can introduce guests to use our club facilities.
We are also a community hub which hiring our facilities to community groups in the Castle Point and Southend-on-Sea area.

We were delighted to build our women's cricket team in 2023 with over 20 ladies taking part in our cricket training sessions. We are growing our Under 11, 13 and 15s girls set-up and are welcoming new players!

All Stars for 5-8 year olds and Dynamos for 8-11 year old girls offers a great opportunity to make friends, have fun and learn a new skilll! These programmes are running from mid-May to August on Fridays 6-7pm! All kit is provided and monthly BBQs are held too.
As well as this for women and girls (Year 7+) we have our regular Monday evening (18:15-19:30) women's softball training sessions. We welcome women of all ages, abilities and fitness levels. No equipment is needed and it's totally free as is women's softball cricket membership.
We have hosted women's softball tournaments at the club and are taking part in the Essex Softball Series of 6 a side softball indoor and outdoor tournaments.
Welcoming New Youth Cricket Players!
We're always welcoming players of all ages and abilities to join our club. From our youth cricket starting with All Stars for 5-8 year olds and then softball Under 9s/11s to adult cricket, if you are interested in coming to join a couple of training sessions to find out more about us please get in touch by email: hadleigh.thundersleycc@gmail.com.

Come to International Day with the Professional Cricketer's Association - Friday 9 August 2024
We are delighted to host the Professional Cricketers' Association for our International Day this year for a T20 match against our 1XI. It's tied 1-1 between the PCA Masters and our 1XI following two exciting matches!
Our event is open to the community so if you, friends and family are interested in full hospitality tickets in our marquee with a chance to sit on a table with an ex-England legend, please get your tickets now!
Last year our ground was full with hundreds of attendees and the event really brought the community together. We held a Kids' 5 a side Softball Tournament run by PCA Legends and our 1XI which was a great success. You can get son or daughter involved this year by reserving their place!
