The refurbished 1st floor is now a flexible area which can be set up for small activity groups as well as for normal social/club/Private function use. The terms of our lease agreement only allows for Club members and local Community Groups to hire the facilities. They are not available on a commercial basis. Club members can only book the facilities if they have been a full Social or Playing member for more than 12 months. The current capacity is licensed for 80 users at any one time but it is hope to increase that number one all fire safety risk assessments have been agreed and certified.

Below are pictures showing how flexible the space can be made for the use of community group, private functions and/or normal club use.

Different layouts are possible on request e.g. conference/classroom layouts. The club has an excellent kitchen and can offer catering services on request. Booking forms for Private/Club Functions and Community Group hire are available on request from the Secretary or at the Club.

To achieve this effect, all the bar furniture is stored in the Darts area at the Bar end of the club and additional chairs, pool table and tall tables are pushed back against the walls in the Solby House end of the 1st floor.

  • Disabled access is possible between the ground and first floors using a Stannah Platform Lift for up to four adults. This should only be used by people how have disabilities and is not for general use.
  • A toilet for the disabled is available on the 1st floor.
  • Ladies and gents toilets are also located on the first floor.
  • More toilet facilities available on the ground floor – Gents only toilet and four changing rooms which have a toilet and showers.
