Founded in 1946, we pride ourselves on our competitive standard of cricket and thriving social scene. We offer men’s cricket, ladies’ cricket and youth cricket for both girls and boys. Our Saturday 1s play in the Hamro Foundation Essex League’s Division 1 – one of the strongest in Essex. Our club’s youth teams are also successful in local leagues. We recognise that youth development is very important, from boys and girls Year 1 starting in our All Stars programme, to introducing youth players to open age cricket. Our cricket club will always welcome new players of all ages and ability. We are proud to have been the fastest growing women and girls cricket set-up in Essex through our women’s softball cricket sessions and we have now expanded our offer to include hardball cricket.
While we are primarily a cricket club, we also have a vibrant social scene, taking advantage of our outstanding pavilion and bar facilities. Social members can enjoy evenings across the year with food and drink, live music, quizzes and watching international sporting events at our bar. We’re a family friendly club and members can introduce guests to use our club facilities.
We are also a community hub which hiring our facilities to community groups in the Castle Point and Southend-on-Sea area.
