We are delighted to have a three lane enclosed cricket net facility with full length bowler’s run-up to England and Wales Cricket Board specification, in addition to a single one lane net facility net to our clubhouse which we have opened up to our community on a non-bookable basis for recreational use (not paid for coaching).
Our three-lane net facility is bookable by members only and details of how to do this have been shared by club email or in WhatsApp groups. We are very open to school hires to promote cricket in the local community.
We require users to report any damage by photographing this at the start of their hire to hadleigh.thundersleycc@gmail.com and we will hold hirers personally liable for any damage caused. No spikes will be worn, no muddy footwear used and no ‘4s and 6s’ games played in the three lane facility.
Users are responsible for their own health and safety while using these facilities. A responsible adult must supervise children and ensuring they wear helmets and protective equipment while batting against a hardball. Please show respect to other users of the facilities and members of the public.
You must lock the facility after your booking and scramble the combination code. If you do not, we will hold you liable for any damage caused while they remain unlocked. These nets are the property of Hadleigh & Thundersley Cricket Club and are for the recreational use of members. They must not be used to offer paid coaching services without prior agreement from the club.
We reserve the right to cancel your booking at any time and failure to follow these terms and conditions may result in you being unable to book the nets. Club officials reserve the right to request a form of ID when using our three lane nets to confirm you are a member.
Our clubhouse first floor is a flexible area which can be set up for small activity groups as well as for normal social/club/private function use. The terms of our lease agreement only allows for club members and local Community Groups to hire the facilities. They are not available on a commercial basis. Club members can only book the facilities if they have been a member for more than 12 months. The current capacity is licensed for 100 users at any one time.
Below are pictures showing how flexible the space can be made for the use of community group, private functions and/or normal club use.
The following pictures show the area set up for normal use:
Different layouts are possible on request e.g. conference/classroom layouts. The club has an excellent kitchen and we are content to host catering companies with appropriate health and hygiene certification. Booking forms for Private/Club Functions and Community Group hire are available on request from the Secretary by email.
